WW2 ruined everything they worked for, their house bombed to the ground, their properties confiscated by communists, family members killed or dead of famine. In the late 50s grandma Ecaterina, grandpa Vasile and their 5 children moved in a “government owned” house… it actually belonged to a Jewish family who perished during the war. Those were the post war days and the rise of a new afflicted generation entrapped in a vicious perpetuum of damaging the next generation in a forceful cycle of "poverty breeds monsters".
